Explore non-linear somatic movement and mantra as it relates to the study of Tantra yoga.
Tantra means Energy Transformation. In tantra and yoga therapy we transform stuck energy in the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual parts of ourselves.Moving meditations and Sound Vibration changes the vibratory pattern of the subconscious mind, by bringing the mind to a sattvic state.Somatic movement and mantra are two therapies that help us heal past traumas and transform habits.When we tune into the sacred sound and current of wisdom body we can find deeper flow and connection to the mystery of living artfully, healthfully, and in a state of flow and connection to all beings.Upon successful completion of this module, students will be able to:
Understand:
• What Tantra yoga is and how it is used in transformation of old patterns and habits.
• How different movements affect our mind and emotions and how to embody it
Explain:
• Somatic movement anatomy and how it affects the nervous system.
Describe:
• Mindbody connection, how we use non-linear movement in yoga therapy to release conditioning, memory and stress patterns.
Define:
• Tantra yoga, mantra, shakti as healing potential, and somatic movement principles?

Materials to bring: 4 blocks (can use 2, but 4 is better for mandala practice) blanket or 2, or pranayama bolster.
Course Completion Requirements: Attending and participating in the course module (or completing makeup assignments given by the teacher). Adapt a somatic movement or mandala protocol for balancing your energy-emotions. Include sound resonance and pratyahara meditation when stress occurs. Journal experience after practicing for 1 week, 10 minutes per day. Journal reflection due 2 weeks after . Meet with mentor
