  • Key Training Homework:
    • Pose Analysis Worksheet. Select two restorative yoga poses (e.g., Salamba Matsyasana, Supta Balasana). Analyze their impact on the autonomic nervous system (ANS), focusing on how they stimulate the parasympathetic nervous system (PNS) and reduce stress. Identify contraindications for each pose and provide prop modifications for clients with nervous system-related conditions such as anxiety or insomnia.
    • Reflection Question. Write a 300–500 word reflection on how restorative yoga supports the nervous system in shifting to rest-and-digest mode. Discuss the role of breath, props, and gentle movement in relaxation and nervous system balance. Include personal insights from practice or teaching experiences, if applicable.

  • Final Homework for Retreat:
    • Design and implement a personalized restorative yoga sequence based on an initial client consultation. The sequence should address the client’s specific needs, incorporating modifications, benefits, pranayama, and relaxation techniques. After review and approval from your mentor, teach the sequence to your client and reflect on the experience.
