Join us for this virtual retreat. Putting knowledge into embodiment as an inward journey into the foundation of classical Hatha Yoga. Enjoy daily morning meditation and sattva vinyasa classes as well as Daily Raja Yoga Program and Sutra Study time.

Upon successful completion of this module, students will be able to:

Understand:

· The afflicting thoughts of the mind and have useful tools for mindfulness.

· Right relationship (yama) and how this relates to us as yoga therapists with both our peers and our students.

Explain:

· Explain how the 4 chapters of the sutras relate to the 4 aims of life

Describe:

· The states of the mind and the four levels of the mind.

· The inner and outer workings of the yamas and niyamas and their effects.

· Karma and Dharma, the power of attention and the fire of self-study.

Define:

· And explain the purpose of Sadhana

· The 5 vrittis and kleshas and how they relate to each other.

Required reading: The Path of Joyful Living by Dani McGuire, The Yoga Sutras of Patanjali by Sri Swami Satchidananda.

Materials to bring: The Yoga Sutras of Pantanjali by Swami Satchidananda.

Course Completion Requirements: Attending and participating in the course module (or completing makeup assignments given by the teacher). Journal Reflection of Sadhana, and the importance of Sadhana for the yoga therapist. Reflections on questions provided on Yoga Sutras (1.5-1.11, 2.1-2.3, 1.17, 1.32-1.33, 1.30, 2.28, 2.30, 2.31)
