ADAP400: Yoga Therapy and Heart Disease
This course delves into evidence-based yogic techniques for managing stress, balancing hormones, and reducing the risk of heart disease. Students learn protocols for different stages of heart disease, from prevention to rehabilitation post-surgery. Emphasis is placed on understanding medical terminology, working alongside healthcare providers, and designing therapeutic programs tailored to individual needs.
ADAP401: Yoga Therapy and Cancer
This course provides a conceptual framework for adapting yoga therapy to individuals living with cancer or in remission. Students learn how to modify group classes based on cancer care levels, integrate langhana and brahmana strategies for different healing phases, and develop language that fosters empowerment—from Survivor to Thriver.
